"Similar findings have led other scientists to believe that a global flood is a distinct possibility ."
People should ask why the geologists making these findings aren't the ones supporting the flood theory.
"rejecting or trivializing the genesis account about adam and eve creates a domino effect that undermines nearly every major teaching in the bible!
such a way of thinking leads to a host of unanswered questions and a faith with nothing to stand on.".
footnote: "these include teachings about gods sovereignty, human integrity, good and evil, free will, the condition of the dead, marriage, the promised messiah, a paradise earth, gods kingdom, and many others.".

what is/are your regrets?
do u wish that you'd have pursued something or dealt differently with a situation?.
I regret not making real friends when I had the chance.
I regret not pursuing activities I enjoyed, especially when I was in college.
I regret not following my curious instincts sooner, it would have saved me years of internal turmoil.
On really bad days I regret being basically forced to marry at a young age, but other days she's the only thing I'm thankful for.
anyone else watch community?
i love the show, and it just happens to have the only openly jw lead character in the history of tv.
but whenever they'd bring up that troy was a jw i'd cringe a little, back then because how easily he would go against those beliefs and now because of how innocent they make it out to be.
I wonder if any elders use Troy as an example: "See? This is what happens when you go to college, even community college!"

But whenever they'd bring up that Troy was a JW I'd cringe a little, back then because how easily he would go against those beliefs and now because of how innocent they make it out to be. So I think they should have Troy's secret worldly ways come out to his family and have an episode where he's disfellowshipped and all the crazy other things that being a hardcore JW entails, much like they did with Pierce's religion. It would be a great expose, and there's endless comedy to be had from JW tomfoolery.
I wonder if the show's producers accept spec scripts?
someone else suggested this so i just figured, ok let's do it.. 1. all present jws died and i became the sole leader of the entire religion.
2. then i would dissolve the religion and burn every last memory of it ever existing.
3. all books would be burned, all buildings destroyed.
..if I woke up and 7 billion people were dead, and then the Archangel Michael personally walked up to me and said "last chance." I'd ask him if the new scrolls mentioned going to endless meetings to hear the same dozen talk outlines for eternity, and also if I could have a pet alligator instead of a lion. Oh, and also if I could be the one to study with Anne Boleyn in the resurrection, so I could hear her side of the story. Depending on his answers I might consider going back.
i've been thinking recently that i should just disassociate from the jws and be done with it.
i've been straggling along for over ten years now without believing it so it's probably about time i made a clean break and moved on.. but i really detest the fact that the announcement at the kingdom hall no longer makes any distinction between those who are disfellowshipped and those who disassociate themselves.
what a sleekit way for the organization to disguise the fact that many people choose to leave of their own accord rather than being thrown out for supposed wrongdoing.
I've been dreaming of using a 5-minute TMS talk to lay out an airtight argument and only at the very end does it all come together against the Society. After which I would announce myself out, leave my Bible on stage and walk out. That LittleToe actually did so in a public talk is amazing.
and please don't do so with the standard "i don't know the answer - but there surely must be one.

i find it incredibly interesting how hard the mind works to prevent rational thought when it suits it's purpose.
The original question was about a statement that could be analyzed evidentiary style, while your new topics go to thinking processes and motivation, which would get an "Objection!" in any court, since those can't be answered, even of another human. Why did that kid go into the school and start shooting random kids? Why not use a bomb? Why didn't he shoot his bullies or his teacher first? Maybe he had reasons, maybe he didn't. He just did what he did.
By the way AK- Jeff, does the AK stand for Alaska?

Ah, nice transition to a much broader topic; does that mean I won the first round? :)

But, according to what I posted above, the cattle didn't all die during the first round; but all the cattle that did die were Egyptian.
So say there's 100 Egyptian cows and 50 Israelite cows.
Fifth Plauge: 25 Egyptian cows die, 0 Israelite cows. Therefore all the cows that died were Egyptian (see how that phrase could, over hundreds of years and translations be mistaken?)
So there could still be 75 Egyptian cows to lose their firstborn during the Tenth Plauge.
EDIT: I see you already figured out what I was saying. To answer your question, No, God didn't say he'd kill them all. The scripture you cited just said He'd send a plauge, no specifics.

Not all theists even have to believe in the Bible at all, much less take it as infallible.
Anyway, some say it's a simple translation problem having to do with sentence structure, as in it should say "All the cattle that did die belonged to the Egyptians, but not one died that belonged to the Israelites."
